“Ever noticed how a guy reacts when a really sexy, girl in very skimpy clothes walks past him? Its quite simple to picture (we’ve all seen it in action). His jaw drops and he becomes, well to put it one word – dumbstruck (no matter his age – they are all the same).

For me and shoes, its kind-a the same experience. I just can’t resist gawking when I see a really fabulous pair of sky high heels. In fact, I consider shoes to be my own little dirty habit, and quite often, a shoe habit could be a far more expensive habit than hard drugs!

Think I’m kidding? Just think of the R15 000 price tag on a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos and it doesnt stop there. Once you’ve bought a pair of expensive, designer shoes, the second, third, or twentieth pair is always on your mind.

Okay, okay R15 000? There is no way I could afford to go that far on a pair of shoes, and as much as I love shoes, I wouldn’t trade my wheels for a pair of heels. Because, yes, the reality of it is that I would have to sell my car to afford a pair of shoes with double digits. And, as a fabulous as these heels may look, the fabulousity seems to just go right out the window when you’re walking 50km in your Jimmy Choos because you don’t have a car.

At the moment, I’m loving stack heels. Not only because they look fab, but because they are easy to wear and can be used as a day look with a simple pair of jeans. Don’t get me wrong, nothing is sexier than a pair of narrow heeled stilettos – but lets face it, it ain’t that easy walking the malls with pin thin heels unless you’re a pro.

Stack heels, corks and wedges provide a more stable surface on which to strut your stuff and as any fab female knows, you can never have enough pairs of shoes.

Check out these gorgeous pairs I found. My favourite, favourite (yes I have two) is the Kim and Mia both by Zoom. The Kim shoes’ upper is made from genuine leather and imported from Brazil – comfort people, comfort! Of the two, I’d have to say Im lovin the Kims’ more - the blue denim colouring will go with just about everything – time to start saving those pennies!”
