Woohooo, it’s my birthday this week which means it’s time to rock it out somewhere! Well now, that calls for the latest rocking collection of limited edition Blondie and Clash Converse…I’m loving the leopard print! Grrrrr!

Converse debuts its Spring 2010 collection of Chuck Taylor All Star shoes honoring music and art that changed the world. Partnerships with pioneering bands, The Clash and Blondie showcase fresh interpretations of landmark moments in music history.

When rock and roll became the status quo, punk broke it. From the birth of punk, the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe has always been a staple of the garage and the punk rock club. Now Chucks and the genre officially combine to create a collection with design and graphic cues as disruptive, meaningful and original as the music itself.

The limited Edition Blondie and Clash Collection are exclusively available to Cross Trainer Nation Wide.

    Well, darnit, if you’re going to keep running these awesome giveaways, I’ll have to keep entering won’t I?
    Fan & following: while my heart leapt at the sight of the tiger print blondie hightop, I’d be just as happy to rock the b&w stripe with my favourite comfy jeans, plain white t, boyfriend blazer, a chunky cuff & oversized hoops. Effortless cool.
    Ooh, but wait, now I’m picturing the high tops, same outfit as before, only with short black tulle skirt in stead of jeans and a well-worn black leather belt tied over jacket around waist.

    I fear I’ll have to do a rocking granny look to make these work…. but I think I could pull that off! I’ll haul out some of my favourite 80s clothes, the ones I couldn’t bear to throw away. So I’ll smell of mothballs, adding that extra indefinable something.

    *Squeal!* I’ve worshiped at the feet (ahem) of Debbie Harry and Joe Strummer for the better part of a lifetime. In fact, my very first vinyl purchase (yes, I’m that old) was a Blondie single (from the ‘Parallel Lines’ album referenced by the third pair). If Converse could follow this with a Ramones edition, I’d die happy. :) Fanned x 100000!

    Kim I have you to thank for my increasing love for converse as you introduced your passionate following to me! I really adore the black and white strip Blondie pair as I would probably wear them with my strange combo of vintage glam and rock chick. Did facebook and twitter- but I think that Converse should give you a special birthday present after all I can definitely say you are their biggest fan. (I’m not sure how many people would buy a pair of shoes in the wrong size simple because the HAD to have them!)

    LOVE the Blondie converse…so cute

    I would rock them by wearing them with awesome dark skinny jeans and a fitted t-shirt (maybe a band one) and my cute black leather jacket.

    Or, I would wear them with comfy jeans,a white tank top and a black blazer

    I can just picture myself wearing the red high tops with my favourite worn in denims and black biker jacket after hours, and then dressing up for work with a smarter denim and boyfriend blazer, big hair and big smile. Perfect.
