I never cease to be amazed at the extraordinary talent we have right here in
SA and Jesse Breytenbach is no exception.
This Cape Town based gal is an illustrator, textile and graphic designer,screen printer extraordinaire, published author, knitting and crochet whizz..um…the list goes on!!
I love visiting her blog where she tells us about her latest projects and things for sale in her etsy shop but also generously gives us DIY projects of things to make and do…one day, I’m going to sit down and sew and make all the lovely things Jesse has shared with us.
Jesse’s textiles have a deliciously naïve quality and I love their subtle
girliness too. I’ve got a crush on some of her floral prints
…and imagine how nice a brown paper wrapped gift would look with her
cotton printed ribbons…these give me a serious case of i want that-ness.
And these retro-esque fabrics are seriously gorgeous too
