As much as I do LURV a good lotion and potion, beauty truly does shine from within and nothing is prettier than a smile. You may have seen this gorgeous campaign on TV already by Jennifer MacFarlane, Cuan Cronwright and Alexi McCarthy from Ogilvy Cape Town for Dentyne. I’ve been away so it’s new to me. It’s so lovely – watch the advert here!
We noticed something about modern society’s version of the beautiful woman.
We noticed that there’s not much smiling.
And we’ve noticed that there’s lots of pouting.
Clearly modern society thinks that the pout is more beautiful than the smile.
And it seems women have fallen for it.
Which is strange, because women are, so much more beautiful when they smile.
Dentyne is creating a movement against the pout, encouraging women to smile confidently and freely again.
Just the most beautiful ad I have seen in a long time, and with such a relevant and true message! Why the hell do we pout? Smiling is just so much more beautiful!
