Decorex Joburg at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand is showing from 5 – 9 August 2010, 10:00 – 18:00 daily. After attending the Decorex, Cape Town, and having styled a stand, I can tell you it’s a feast for the design hungry soul.

‘Expect good-humoured decor, romanticism, fantasy, funky patriotism and all things feathery as a cool calming breeze ushers in a new era of enlightenment at Decorex Joburg, Southern Africa’s largest decor and interior design event. With Plascon painting the town red and DStv as media partner, Decorex Joburg is the ultimate roundup of what’s new and now; with five halls filled with new reveals, fresh initiatives, themed pavilions, DIY dream stuff, great deals and hard-to-beat bargains.’

OOOOOO! This is so on my list! Since I’m building, I’m looking forward to seeing everything! Plascon’s 2011 colours will be awesome no doubt. I also need some ideas on finishes, bathrooms and accessories. Have to say I’m also looking forward to some cake and bubbly
Hi Kim. So excited for Decorex. Adore all the latest trends. I am looking forward to seeing Plascon’s big reveal of all the colours forecast for 2011, as Chris and I are planning to repaint our house. The South African Handmade collection also caught my eye. I love having things in my house that give it a personal touch. I will also be taking a walk past the new pavilion stand as we are looking for a gorgeous light to hang above our dining room table. To be honest with you the whole line up looks awesome so we will be going to all the stands.
Love your blog as always. Keep up the amazing work!
Hi Kim,
i read your blog religiously and follow your facebook updates too.
I am super excited about Decorex in JHB.
I am eager to see Bali Style International’s decorative accessories, as I live in JHB and am unable to attend the shopping days you organise in CT and after seeing all the lovely pieces you bought on your Bali trip, am really interested to see some more Bali beauties.
What I am also looking forward to having a look at is the New Pavilion illuminates Decorex Joburg. The Lighting in Design Pavilion, a bright new trade attraction exclusive to Decorex Joburg… cant wait.
Please keep posting all your great stuff and pretty please organise a big JHB shopping day
Definitely the South African Handmade collection there are always amazing things on offer. I always love the plascon stand.
Alluring room settings!!!
The South African Handmade Collection is what I’m most interested in. Such a great thing to combine good design and handmade products with ethical practice. Can’t wait to see their projects.
My boyfriend is a hot shot industrial designer and it just makes me so happy to see how excited he gets about silly things like lights or chairs so decorex would be like christmas come early!! I’d love to see the green stand because going green is just so hot right now

I am looking forward to the lighting section that is new at Decorex, I have a passion for light fittings that makes me exited and it would bright up my day to win tickets!
Hi Kim
My husband and I are annual visiters to Decorex. Each year we are blown away by the beauty and creativity! Can’t wait
Hi Kim,
When you say expect good-humoured decor and I see carpets looking like circular grass cut-outs, I believe you. I am also very interested in seeing how romanticism, fantasy, funky patriotism are conveyed in Decor.
Clearly I am in need of an “era of enlightenment”. I am sure my mrs. will enjoy the decor while I will probably get enjoyment from the food and wine.
Would appreciate it if you could help me make her day.
