What’s your curve?
We all aim to get that perfect fit, lift and shape when we go bra shopping. We get measured professionally and make sure our girls look just right. So why haven’t we done this with the rest of our body. We come in many shapes and sizes us lovely creatures… and why wouldn’t we want our bums, tums and thighs to look their best too.
Levis has come up with a new range called Curve Id. It’s not about size but shape. 3 shapes have been formulated; Slight Curve, Demi Curve and Bold Curve and then there is the 4th curve exclusive to Africa, the Eva Curve.
The curves are measured using a ration of a woman’s hip to seat measurements. The smaller the difference in these measurements, the straighter the body shape. The greater the difference, the curvier the body shape.
A couple months ago I went to the unveiling of Levis Curve Id. There were four beautiful models showing off the jeans to us. Mmm I thought, easy to see why the jeans look great. You’ve put them on gorgeous models. Each girl was the same size, I think a 34, but had a different body curve. The girls were then asked to swap jeans, and low and behold, they didn’t look so hot. It was a fabulous exercise to demonstrate, how 4 women, exactly the same size had completely different body shapes.
I am really excited to go and try on a pair of Slight Curve Denims. I’ve always managed to find jeans that fit perfectly on the legs, but then won’t close at the waist/hips. Where my body should curve in at the waist, it’s slightly more straight, hence jeans cutting you in at the waist. (AKA Muffin tops. Nooooo) This is typical of Slight Curve Body Shape.
So next time you walk past a Levis store, go and get measure and find out your ‘Curve’, even experiment with the different styles and see how amazing shape is over size. All the Curve Id denims are available in straight, boot and skinny legs in various seasonal finishes.
Remember, it’s about shape not size.
