BEAUTY FEATURE FRIDAY: LYNETTE BOTHA BEAUTY EDITOR FOR ELLE

I asked Lynette Botha, Beauty Editor of ELLE Magazine, to let us in on the beauty products (and other items) she can’t live without…

What’s in my handbag…? The following are always in my make-up bag .My fail-safes!
Benefit Stay-don’t-stray from Woolworths

Estee Lauder DoubleWear stay in place concealer in 001; I literally start panicking if I forget this at home!

Estee Lauder DoubleWear stay-in-place foundation – doesn’t budge and keeps me covered all day.

Rimmel pressed powder

Woolworths Colour Defining Eye Gel pencil in gold. I got sent this a while ago in reply to a brief and I absolutely love it! The nib is super-soft and great for highlighting the inner corner of eye to make eyes appear more awake. I use it most days as an Eyeshadow (it’s THAT soft and spreads so easily!). I’ve even smudged a little on my finger and used it to highlight my cheekbones.

Max Factor Kohl Pencil in 020 Black; another super-soft pencil. I never used to wear eyeliner much when I was blonde (I recently went brunette for a story – read about it in the October issue of ELLE), but now with my dark hair and blue eyes, I find a thick slick of black eyeliner everyday enhances the blue of my eyes just that little bit more!

Dior DiorShow Iconic Extreme Mascara in black. I don’t think I need to say anything about this mascara. All you need to do is try it once and you’ll understand!

A YSL lipstick in a nude or pink; so soft and moisturising – doesn’t dry out lips!

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT; light and powdery, it always gets me compliments!

DKNY Women (original); I’ve been a fan since it launched!
(both of which I carry in my handbag at the moment!)

Other things you’ll find in my handbag…
Millions and millions of Vida receipts (I drink at least two Vida double lattes every morning at Vida Wembley Square), plus the little free Lindts.
Bobby pins, hairbands and safety pins (you never know when you may need them).
A pair of Dior sunglasses, a tube of Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream, my black leather wallet, Eclipse mints and chewing gum, pens, a notebook, my BlackBerry, sometimes my iPad, which, if I’m honest, I still haven’t really got the hang of!
Thanks Lynette for sharing. Love reading your beauty feature in Elle.
