Last Friday I went to heaven… ok no not really. Just the One&Only Spa at the V&A Waterfront. But it felt pretty close.

I got to indulge in a 90 minute Relax and Unwind package  (One of the 2 Spring Revival Packages) they are offering at the moment which consisted of a boutique facial, back, neck and shoulder massage and full body salt and oil scrub.

On booking one of these specials, you are encouraged to come an hour early to use the beautiful facilities to begin your relaxing journey. From the infinity pool to sauna and steam room to their relaxation lounge with refreshments and healthy snacks.

Before my treatment started I had to do a little sensory test. I had the choice firstly of 2 tonics to smell on cotton pads. Then 2 different types of oils. This was really fascinating to me. The smells that I preferd, were exactly what my skin needed. So the tonic fragrance that I prefered for example was for dry, dehydated skin as apposed to a more oily one. The products have a wonderful botanical fragrance like a walk on the mountain which really appealed to me.

My treatment started with the salt and oil rub followed by a shower. Wow, skin feels super soft, nourished and smooth. Then It’s followed by a massage and the facial. I loved that the facial mask was applied to my hair as well, and massaged into the scalp which was a dreamy experience.

After your decadent treatment, there is a relaxation room where one can literally go nod off for a while before driving home. Such a lovely idea.. as who wants to hit traffic straight after a massage.
