Sit, good dog
Well that is literally how they had to speak to me on the shoot of this years Marie Claire Naked Campaign. Kim, move left, good girl. Like a deer in the head lights, totally frightened to drop my gown ( You can even see in the video, grinning from ear to ear, as I’ve had THAT much rescue remedy) I posed with Blog favourites Alex, of Cape Town Girl and Samantha of Pop Ya Collar.
Meeting these ladies properly, totally exceeded my expectations, man did we have a giggle.
This year Marie Claire and celebrity friends support the National Council of Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) and was shot by the brilliant Mark Cameron.
See some of the behind the scenes footage here!
‘
The mission of the SPCA movement in South Africa is to prevent cruelty to animals and ensure their welfare. It enforces over 90 per cent of the animal welfare legislation in South Africa.’ Says the SPCA
Over the past year:
*24 972 animals were adopted from the SPCAs nationwide
*17 655 lost or runaway pets that were taken into the care of the SPCAs were reclaimed by their owners
*50 212 inspections were carried out by the SPCA movement
*2 major outreach projects were conducted by the NSPCA. These aimed to rescue, sterilize, vaccinate, deworm and medically treat animals in areas that have no access to the help of the individual SPCAs or veterinaray services
*It can cost from R60 000 to R180 000 a month to operate one small to medium-sized SPCAFor more information visit www.nspca.co.za
The Marie Claire Naked Campaign Issue will be on sale next week 16 Feb. I’m so excited to be a part of this campaign, who could deny a face like this!
Frankie Gray
Admittedly she is not from the SPACA, as I was intending, but I love her to death, even when she chews my shoes!
just got my marie claire in the mail! you guys look amazing…and i love the dog you’re posing with! so so cute. xx
An article on Tavi! Oh how I envy her. Then again as a 14 year old I was learning to knit and make acessories – skills that I am still using to this day.
We did not have access to the internet when I was 14. Life has changed a lot. I still in my twenties and already longing for the ‘good old days’.
I really do love blogging and adore Tavi’s blog, that girl has some mad writing skills. She is even starting her own zine. Is it a case of ‘vroeg ryp, vroeg vrot’?
Awesome stuff! Well done KIM !!!!
your puppy is super cute:)
