DÉCOR TRENDS AND CREATIVE IDEAS FLOURISH AT DECOREX CAPE TOWN 2011 29 April – 2 May, CTICC, Cape Town
Themed ‘Beauty and the Basics’ Decorex Cape Town expresses the Mother City’s creative energy with its back-to-basics approach, topped with good-humoured decor and a touch of fantasy. Workshops, special trend reporting and trend-forward concept stands add diversity and interactivity to the interior design show. “High tea with the Royals” is an initiative echoing the new romantic trend and with the expo opening on the day of the royal wedding, show visitors can watch DStv wedding coverage in style, nibbling on sweet treats at the Decadent Diner.

Attend free trend talks by forecast guru Dave Nemeth 11am and 2pm daily, get inspired by designer room settings interpreting the Plascon Colour Forecast 2011 devoted to love. See how easy and affordable it is to convert to green living at the All Things Green House by Inside Living.

Brush up on your DIY skills at the DStv Theatre of Ideas, watch Simonsberg guest chef Nic Wyk and internationally crowned Stacey Lee Chan cook up a storm  and  enter to win Whirlpool kitchen appliances.

Design maestro Neil Stemmet of Koncept Design curates the Bos Tea House, depicting the restaurant of the future with its blend of the old and the new. Beautiful bathrooms, Dream Rooms and show specials add to the show’s allure. The new foodie section District Delicious is filled with gourmet products, kitchen gadgets and home entertaining have-to-haves.
