A couple weekends ago we stayed at the beautiful, Kleine Zalze Golf Estate in Stellenbosch. With the sun out, it was a beautiful day lunching in Stellenbosch and walking round the golf estate ending up at the club house over looking the greens for a well deserved drink
The rooms are beautifully appointed with some delicious Kleine Zalze Wine awaiting your arrival.
The highligh of our stay was their amazing award winning restaurant, Terroir. The food was out of this world! The restaurant is small and cosy inside with a fire place. I would imagine in summer it would be gorgeous to dine under the stars outside.
As we sipped on my favourite Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel, delicious breads were bought to our table and a welcome snack, a potato and leek parcel.
Above, pork belly and below, springbok and bacon pie. SO GOOD!
It’s amazing how the simplest things can bring so much pleasure. A side serving of truffled mac and cheese. I was in heaven!
I have a big sweet tooth so this coffee and hazelnut dessert was finished with not a crumb to spare. The attention to detail and plating was really beautiful and each dish just bursting with so many different flavours. Guests where also treated to a complementary plate of sweets. It’s this attention to detail that makes a place stand out! Superb! Love to go back!
