Last weekend we had the lovely opportunity of staying at Klein Welmoed in Stellenbosch. To be honest I actually tried to get out of it as I’ve got so much on my plate before going away etc, but boy was I glad when we arrived. A little oasis in what feels like the middle of nowhere.
There are 2 large beautiful guest cottages and guest rooms in the main house.
Loved that you could keep your bathroom private or open it up to the room. Mmm and a fire place in the room – how divine come winter.
Jack the resident farm dog paid us visit which felt really homely not to mention the very warm welcome we received with loads of information about the farm and surroundings.
Take a run or a stroll around the farm before a delicious home cooked breakfast.
Klein Welmoed has not been used as a wedding venue yet but they are looking into it next year, so girls if you’re looking for a spot that’s not done the rounds, this may be your special spot. The farm is so quiet and sipping a glass of wine in the afternoon sun next to olive groves and vineyards was pure bliss. I felt recharged and refreshed after our stay. Thanks to Klein Welmoed again for their warm and friendly atmosphere.
