So we were off to Prince Albert last weekend for our 5th wedding anniversary and stayed at 2 gorgeous spots! I’ve been dying to go to Prince Albert for ages and it’s just the most magnificent spot surrounded by Karoo landscapes and lush riverside spots.
Bid Huisie is a sweet little self catering cottage with loads of charm and very reasonably priced, sleeping 4 with 2 bedrooms (There are mossie nets, however I do still recommend you bring Tabard!)
Sitting on the little garden bench at night, with a glass of bubbles and star gazing, was just amazing, not to mention perfectly romantic!
We had such a lovely afternoon relaxing on the little stoep escaping the Karoo heat and enjoying the little plunge pool.
Exploring this quaint, friendly little town is so much fun too! A visit to Gay’s Dairy Farm is a must for a cheese tasting and delicious dairy products. We really enjoyed making and savouring our cappuccino’s the next morning with Gay’s Full Cream, unpasteurised milk!
See what else we did and where we stayed in PART 2 xx
Looks like you had a lovely time Kim! I remember walking past that cottage when we visited Prince Albert and thinking how cute it looked!
