Inspired by our African landscape and heritage. Earthy tones and ethnic pattens create these bold and vibrant towels. Itawuli translates to towel in Xhosa.
The stripe detail that runs through the middle of the towel is a favoured pattern used in the traditional woolen Basutu Blankets. These blankets were initially woven in England and this stripe was originaly a mistake through lack of communication, it however became very popular amongst communities in South Africa so was then incorporated into the design.

I have been building my beautiful Mungo collection for 3 years now—every time I go to Plett I pop into their lovely shop and buy a piece at a time. Love, love, love ALL of it.
