Lovely Local Face & Body Oils

Here are a few local, natural & organic oils I’m enjoying for mind, body and soul. Super fragrant, no nasties and naturally nourishing – any of these would be a treat to the senses!

1.) FACE: The Victorian Garden Anti Wrinkle Rejuvenating Night Tissue Serum (R90) and its gorgeous botanical fragrance gives skin a fabulous boost. Use a few drops before your night cream or use as is for an overnight treatment.A powerful serum offering excellent repairing and regenerating properties. Hormonal balancing oils and oils with the ability to absorb free radicals, reduce wrinkles, smooth the skin and achieve a velvety complexion are all benefits of this exquisite night tissue oil. I love just taking a few minutes to breathe in the excess oil on my hands.

2.) FACE: If your skin is more prone to congestion, you’re going to want to get your hands on the uplifting & fragrant Lulu & Marula Purifying Treatment Oil. (380) Superhero oils like marula, boabab and parsley seed help equalise the skin’s production of sebum, calm inflammation, and clear congestion deep down. Cell stimulating properties help fade scarring, brighten skin, and protect it against premature aging. I just love their packaging – super gift worthy!

3.) BODY: I mentioned a little while ago that I’m addicted to the Soil Oils, and I think this is going to be a long lasting love affair! I love my morning massage routine using the Toning Oil (R110), helping reduce cellulite by detoxifying, toning and stimulating the skin, plus it contains Juniper berry, which helps get to work on lymphatic congestion.

4.) BODY: On the mornings I feel a little more sluggish or sleep deprived, I alternate my Toning Oil with the Uplifting Soil Oil.(R100) I love the energizing peppermint fragrance while the oils help to balance and lift spirits. It also provides nourishment and contains regeneration properties. I make sure to massage loads into my arms and decolletage area as to reap the benefits of its uplifting properties.

5.) FEET: To date this is still my absolute favourite foot balm, the Oh-Lief Natural Olive Heel Balm. (R110) Not a liquid oil like the rest – yet it is packed with rich, organic oils and one hell of a juicy, lime fragrance! Olive and avocado oil forms a rich heavy balm, ideal for dry and cracked feet. Lime oil has a refreshing fresh scent, great to use after a long day on your feet. Tea Tree oil is known for its herbal and earthy scent, and has anti-bacterial properties. Again, I apply before going to bed and take a few deep breaths, inhaling the gorgeous scent left on my hands. A great way to unwind before bed.

6.) MIND: I like to think the Lulu & Marula Calming Body Balm  (R270) is just as good for the mind as it is for the body! A comforting blend of floral ingredients like neroli, geranium and ylang ylang boosts cell activity to ease stretch marks, broken capillaries and uneven skin tone, whilst transporting your mind to an exotic seaside location. Marula, moringa and shea butter gives your skin a dose of antioxidants to soften, calm and protect. Ommmm. I adore the thick, nourishing balm texture.
