I don’t know if it’s because I grew up in Newlands, or because of the quiet oasis that it is – but I always feel so at home at The Vineyard Hotel. It’s our hotel of choice when we come to Cape Town, hidden away from the hustle and bustle, steeped in old world charm with contemporary finishes. This time, we got to stay in the ever-so-spoiling, Deluxe Mountain View Suite – which felt like a mini home in itself.
I loved the serene, relaxing tones of the room decor.

These guys are so on the ball when it comes to water conservation, we were so impressed! The showers are armed with timers and the bath plugs removed (Which could be asked for at reception should a bath be absolutely necessary – I’m thinking for small children maybe?) There were also posters and messaging everywhere.
