In these gloomy economic times we are all looking for something to lift our spirits, something to make us smile and appreciate better times.
Stuart Mchattie, a photographer, gives you just that, a piece of time to feel ‘Alive’
His new photographic exhibition aptly entitled ‘ALIVE’ is a collection of limited edition, giclee canvasses and is dedicated to his grandmother, Jean Hardman, who has been extremely instrumental in the development of who he is as an artist.
The most notable aspects of this exhibition are Stuart’s bond with the ocean and his wondrous appreciation for all things bright & beautiful.
Stuart explains “My grandmother’s garden was always the most colorful and I spent many hours as a child following her around with mud between my toes. My earliest & most vivid childhood memories are also of me accompanying her on her ritualistic early morning trips to the beach for swims in the rock pools, up on the North Coast of Natal. This laid the foundation for the deep relationship that I have with sea to this day. I still like to head off to the beach at first light, although I have progressed from the rock pools to the waves”.
Come and join Stuart as he showcases his most prized work yet:
