4- DECLÉOR plants over 40 000 trees in Madagascar

Since 2008, we have planted over 40 000 trees in Madagascar, a beautiful island off the coast of Africa, as part of an ongoing eco-responsible and
sustainable management project. DECLÉOR is taking action to preserve the environment and, more particularly, help the biodiversity, which is under threat and where DECLÉOR
sources some of their essential and plant oils from.

The project has the double aim of not only helping preserve the Madagascar ecosystem but also improving the living conditions of local populations. For over 3 years (2008-2010), a sponsored partnership that DECLÉOR has set up with the NGO ASMADA, has resulted in:

* a reforestation programme in the Masindray Valley to protect natural water sources and local flora:

* more than 40 000 trees (Ravintsara, Vetiver, Lemon Eucalyptus) planted in between 2008 and 2009.

*more than 35 000 trees will be planted in 2010.

* these large-scale plantations have also provided work for villagers and local farmers.

You can learn more about the products here and here - But most importantly, you’re going to want to enter, HERE. Happy Friday and good luck! xx
