I loved doing this shoot. A stylists dream job. The first pic was for a roller gloss called “Sugar Lips” and the second for one of their make up ranges called “Opulence”.
It was right up my street with beautiful make up by Carol Lupton and I always love working with the talented Malcolm Dare! It’s a privilege working with such a great team. The styling was great fun. I loved finding all the teenage bright candy coloured jewelry and for the Opulence shoot – the name says it all! I loved combining wardrobe and sparkly jewelry with beautiful fabrics and decor – this was particularly glam and exciting to style!
I do hope there is more work like this coming my way!

I loved this advert for Converse. I live in my Converse on shoots. As a stylist, being on your feet all day on shoot or running around shopping centres – comfort comes first! And I agree with this clip, they should never look like they’re straight our of the box!

Tonight I was inspired to put this site into action! Thanks Justine – I have married into a family of entrepreneurs and bloggers. (My cousin in law Sarah being one of them – see www.babazeka.com and husband Matthew – see www.listenup.za.net ) I never really understood the POWER of blogging and I guess never really understood it full stop! Yes I am probably cottoning on way late, but I never saw my site as a blog site.. it was always a portfolio for clients to see my work.. but why not other stylists, more clients, fellow industry people and why not the girl in the flat next door.
The girl next door wants to know where she can get this seasons chunky knits for less, other stylists want to know are you too being asked to bill less due to world wide pricing going up (like stylists petrol, tools,house hold bills etc don’t go up with the rest of the worlds?) and agencies want to know what other agencies are doing!
I feel there could be a little bit of something for everyone! I too want to learn~be in the loop! I am not the most outspoken, in your face, “out there” stylist around. But I want to be REAL! and learn what is REAL!
I hope this site will open up discussions! I hope I’ll learn from it and I hope you may find something worth reading, buying or just stop by to view my latest work!
This is just the beginning! and I am excited by that!
