Beyond The To Do List

Reflection Friday: Breaking Busy

We’re flying back to Dublin today! The last 3 months have been amazing to be back home and enjoy the sunshine, see friends and family etc – but juggling Harry and trying to stay work focused has had its challenges! I’m looking forward to getting back to my own home and routine – but I’m going to listen to this podcast again to make sure I don’t busy myself so, that I don’t take in and enjoy our current adventures! (Because I have loads of plans!!)

  • Learn how to stop chasing what leaves you empty and start doing what you were created to do.
  • Identify the common lies you believe and how to strip their power from your life.
  • Recognize how what you say no to determines what you can say yes to.
  • Stop making comparisons on social media!

You’re nodding to at least one of these right!? TAKE A LISTEN! xx

What Successful People Do Before Breakfast

A quote that stuck with me from this podcast. “Mono-tasking is the new Multi-tasking!” Another great listen from Beyond The To Do List, as I continue my quest to be more, live more and improve, MORE!

Pinterest as a productivity tool

As I may have mentioned, I listened to some inspiring podcasts during the holidays. One that stuck out was an interview with Cynthia Sanchez on how to be productive using Pinterest. Now most of us know how much time we can waste on there, getting sucked in by pretty pictures.Sure, boundaries need to be set, but it can be super useful when needing a little inspiration.

Tilting

I had a wonderful little “Aha moment” in the holidays, listening to a podcast as we were driving up to Hermanus. My first year of being a work-from-home-mom was a lot more challenging than I had expected – trying to balance work, play, family, the house and making sure Harry doesn’t stick his finger in a plug or something. Dividing your attention doesn’t really make you efficient at anything – rather, I was left feeling frustrated most of the year. I was living the dream (my dream), doing a job I love and starting a family, but I couldn’t give either the attention they deserved.

Then, my holiday just lightened when I listened to this podcast on tilting, rather than trying to balance everything perfectly! Give it a listen – it just makes total sense.

This year, I shall practice tilting!
