I love leroy

I went to watch I love Leroy at the Design Indaba. I loved this show. With a slight circus theme, the clothes were girly and quirky yet had a classiness and classic feel about them. Love it!

I’m also totally in love with her ready to wear range. See more here.

Well Done Sarah, I’m a huge fan.

Woolworths at design indaba

I have been walking past these cushions in store for a few weeks now and admire them every time..what I never knew, is that they are part of  a social upliftment project that Woolworths is involved in. I think they are so pretty, and love them even more now.

E friends

I bumped into some online friends at the Design Indaba. It was great to finally put a face to the name of a few, and to see these talented ladies proudly displaying their wonderful works…

I blogged about the Thread Count Collective a few weeks ago. Check out their beautiful stand of vibrant fabrics. I said hello to fellow blogger Heather Moore there and finally got to meet Chloe Townsend and Cara Rosa of Twine. What a stylish and talented duo.

I’m in love with this Ellie bag from The Wren. I also love how she’s looked into the size of hand luggage. This is the max size you are allowed on board a flight. Nicely done! It was also nice to finally meet Wendren.

It was so cool to see Deborah’s progression from piles of product in her clean white studio to the bursting stand of colourfull quirky design. Well done Debs, this looks great! You can find her products at Flowermill.

My styling week

I started the week sourcing for two shoots. I always love sourcing at Kids Living, I found some really cute things for my Fit Pregnancy Decor Shoot.

I often get lead a stray on sourcing trips, I had to pop into Poetry when I saw this ceramic platter in the window. It’s on my wish list!

Off to Flowermill to collect canvases for my decor shoot. Deborah gave me a sneak peak at the gorgeous journals made especially for Design Indaba.

The next day was off to shoot for Ackermans with Marguerite Oelofse. Let me tell you, there are some cute little coats coming out this winter, nothing over R300.

Organized chaos in the hair and make-up department..

The next day, more organized chaos unpacking shopping bags for my decor shoot with Neville Lockhart.

Saturday was off to the Design Indaba. Wow, South African Designers can be proud. A hall full of talent, colour and inspiration. A Separate post to follow on that!

House&Leisure and Woolworths

I attended the House and Leisure and Woolworths Student ‘Green Design” awards at the Design Indaba last night. (Phew that was a mouth full) Anyway I really enjoyed it! Although I got a VIP bracelet, it didn’t really do much but get me in. Maybe they should have omitted the VIP part. However, the students came up with some great ideas.

This shopper was made by ironing plastic shopping bags together with a natural hessian strap. Nice one!
