Designers embracing the web

Great to see more and more designers slowly gracing the web! As Sarah Dickson said in an interview on Ifashion, “ Sarah Dickson of shop-label.com agreed with Duarte that local designers should embrace online media. “Today if you hear the name of a designer, you automatically Google them.”

Check out Stefania Morland’s Blog and her oh so beautiful collections.

Spring 2009 colour report

After what I am sure is a lot of slogging and browsing the web, Angie at Ifashion always puts together the best trends reports.

See Spring 2009 colour pallets below.

I recently posted a poll to find out whether you thought the colours ‘flesh’ and ‘nude’ where racist and the vast majority thought not. The flesh tones we saw through all the major cities were gently rubbed with pinks and oranges.

Brilliant orange, another one of the handful of saturated colours we saw, exploded off the ramps. A lively and happy colour, it energises with the pink, with neither of them quite reaching the red they aspire to.

If you havn’t put your sunglasses on yet, I suggest you do. The blue we have seen for the past two seasons seems to want to stick around and make itself heard. High octane and definately no wallflower, these blues range from electric to turquoise.
