Shanti Maurice: Part 1

We arrived in the dark at Shanti Maurice last Thursday, but awoke to this magnificent view. It’s a  fabulous time of year to come to Mauritius, as the Christmas & new year touristy hustle & bustle has died down.

We spend out first morning on the beach, enjoying the refreshing drinks bought to us from the little beach-hydration-station and the boys enjoyed some of the free water activities. Rolo, the guy managing the activities is such a cool dude, so eager to get you on the water and help out in any way he can.

Loved the rustic & authentic decor that tied in and around the hotel as you’l see in my next post.

Above and below, the view from the main restaurant where breakfast is served each morning. The staff were delightful and cooed over Harry. So sweet. IMG_4865IMG_4918IMG_4908

I’m not a water person, but lived in this pool. With the humidity and warm water, it’s just so pleasant. A great work out can be had in this expansive pool, with loads of little nooks for chilling out in. After our first day we said we’d felt like we’d been here a week already. Instantly relaxed and happy and pinching ourselves. Shanti Maurice is what holiday’s are made of!

What I packed for Mauritius

Some of my Island Holiday essentials!

IMG_48031.) Knomad for iPad Mini (With Power Pack) – a fabulous travel organiser that charges your iPad & iPhone on the go!

2.) Moisture Kick Spray(& Leave in) Conditioner by Schwarzkopf – The perfect beach bag essential. Restore moisture to your hair after a dip.

3.) Keep lips & eyes hydrated on the plane with an added anti-aging boost with a creamy tube (always love product in tubes for traveling) of Sorbet Age Effect Lip & Eye Serum.

4.) Whether you’re taking advantage of the resort gym or catching up on some glossies by the pool – love your ears with Urbanears Headphones.

5.) What’s a holiday without a new bikini. Loving the structured, neoprene trend from Bikini Club.

6.) Keeping my beauty bits safely together in my island-themed, make-up bag from Zana Products.

7.) Highlight a golden tan with Palmers Coco Butter Body Gloss – rich, moisturising and leaves your skin luminous.

8.) Keep bugs at bay with Oh-Lief Natural Olive Insect Balm. The best insect repellent out there if you ask me. I’d happily wear this fragrant balm daily!

9.) Lip balm; a beach bag & holiday have-to-have! Have fun with these juicy, fruit fragranced, Eos Lip Balms. They fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, bursting with delicious fragrances. So much fun & something a little different.
