Lim was founded in Cape Town in March 1997 by Pauline Mutlow and the shop still occupies its original location. Influenced by minimalist architects and in particular Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and his motto “Less is more”, the name Lim was born.

Lim is about an energy, an attitude and timeless living. Our aim is to present products that reflect our philosophy of timeless, simple and honest design. Modern shapes that are refined yet uncomplicated and will endure.
