Fashionable, fun and confident is how I feel in my new graphic Adidas trousers. (R999) I rarely wear prints and I’m now wondering why! Time for change.
I love how you can make them into a straight leg, or skinny trouser.
I went to see Shelene from Tanaz at The One & Only to get my hair done, and they kept inspiring a little change.
Rich chocolate brown, thanks to L’Oreal. Loving my change! (Colour: L’Oreal Richesse 4.15)

SKIP LOVES WHAT YOU WEAR AND INVITES YOU TO SHARE:
The current economic climate has given rise to new trends such as the fashion exchange referred to as Swishing events in the United Kingdom. They are aimed at women conscious of impact high levels of consumerism has on the environment and are looking at ways of reducing this impact. These events bring women together where items in great condition are traded for other items thereby refreshing one’s wardrobe at no extra cost whilst reducing the impact on the environment. Skip decided to bring this concept to a larger market through the Skip Fashion Exchange events.
Skip understands the value women assign to their clothes, they capture a women’s mood, personality and style. We also recognise that although clothes may not be a woman’s life, but they are an essential part of how she presents herself to the world. Just as with everything else she does, how she dresses is never an accident.
According to Kerry Cuppusamy, Skip Brand Manager, “When we started the Fashion Exchange events, we knew we had something valuable to offer. The Skip Fashion Exchange allows women to use their clothes as currency – You get to update your wardrobe at no cost as well as enjoy a glamorous evening with fellow fashion trendsetters.”
The theme of the 2014 events is “I love what you’re wearing”. This is a term every woman enjoys hearing on a daily basis, and through the Skip Fashion Exchange events, women are free to update their look with the help of other women’s wardrobes coupled with on-site stylists.
“This year, we are putting on a real show stopper. Guests will be treated to a three course meal, intriguing fashion exposés and award-winning local entertainment,” says Cuppusamy.
The 2014 events will be run exclusively in Johannesburg kicking off on 17 July at Urban Tree, followed by 21 August at Katy’s Palace and finally, 30 October at Turbine Hall.
It’s not often when you get a chance to strike a balance between your love for fashion, sharing it with girlfriends and having easy access to expert stylists, all at one go. So go ahead and be part of the Fashion Exchange, a movement that encapsulates your personal style at its best.
