So I discovered this delicious Waterford Wine on our stay at The Cellars Hohenort. We enjoyed this mini bar spoil so much, I ordered a few cases and bought some back to Dublin with me!
This soft pink, low alcohol, light and crisp wine with raspberry undertones, is a real lunch time treat. Very easy drinking! Yum!
The Waterford Elgin Sauvignon Blanc with its layers of flavour, has been the best treat to accompany the heat-wave we’re having in Dublin. (So good, it brings on the hashtag – #dryjulyfail)
Says Waterford:
“A strict selection of Elgin’s best quality vineyards. A more restraint style of Sauvignon blanc showing fresh granadilla and green apple fruit, with underlying chalk and slate notes confirming the Elgin origin of the grapes. The palate is finely textured with soft fruit, tight acidity, and a deceptively long finish of flavours. A wine showing the true expression of Elgin terroir on Sauvignon blanc.”
So next time you’re in the Stellenbosch area, do try out their unique wine tasting experience and for more information and more on their red, see here. Cheers! xx
